The Department of Family Medicine sponsors the National Capital Consortium-Dewitt Army Community Hospital Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. It is an intensive one-year program that trains military family physicians in the non-surgical care and education of recreational and competitive athletes at all levels of fitness. Students are invited to participate in this training by participating in a fourth year elective.
