Graduate School of Nursing
USU's Graduate School of Nursing celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2013. It was established in 1993 with the Family Nurse Practitioner Program and has since grown in size and scope. Now, the GSN has four Master of Science in Nursing programs, three Doctor of Nursing Practice programs and a Doctor of Philosophy program.
Dr. Carol Romano named Dean for Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing
Former Chief Nurse Officer for the United States Public Health Service Carol Romano, Ph.D., RN, BC, NEA, FAAN, FACMI, was recently selected as the new Dean of the Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing (GSN) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. She succeeds Dr. Ada Sue Hinshaw, who retired in August 2014.
Romano, DeJong named University of Maryland School of Nursing Visionary Pioneer Award Recipients
Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing Dean Dr. Carol A. Romano and interim GSN Associate Dean for Research Air Force Col. Marla DeJong are both among 25 University of Maryland School of Nursing alumni named as "Visionary Pioneers" in nursing for 2015.
They will be honored at the UMSON's 125th Anniversary Gala, April 18, in Baltimore, Md.
