I am pleased to provide you with a copy of the 2009 annual report for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences
Collaborations among colleagues and peers throughout the world are the means for driving improvements and innovations in medical care and teaching. These collaborations have been critical over the last year in the many achievements we have seen at the USU. As you will see in these pages, our impressive accomplishments have led to increased reliance by the Department of Defense on our experts and our expertise to offer advice on many of today's complex health care issues.
This report provides an overview of the University, and highlights our many contributions to military medicine and public health education, research, policy and practice.
