Medical Management of Radiological Casualties
Radiological and nuclear accidents or incidents remain real threats, and understanding the medical radiobiology of such events represents a major gap in most emergency preparedness. The Medical Management of Radiological Casualties Handbook serves as an informative yet practical instrument in preparing for and responding to such events.
The Handbook is a product of the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute, a part of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences under the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. This handbook was prepared by Ronald E. Goans, PhD, MD, and edited by Military Medical Operations staff.
To request spiral bound water-proofed copies of the handbook, e-mail the MEIR Director, call (301) 295–2950 or write to: Military Medical Operations
