Dear BIC Users,
Due to social distancing requirements and in-person staffing limitations brought on by recent events, BIC access and services will be limited for the time being. All instrument training and other face-to-face activities (tours, assistance with protocol development, etc.) are postponed until further notice. Access to equipment is limited to experienced users, who must observe social distancing and wipe down touch-points (keyboards, etc.) after using equipment. This access may be further curtailed depending on additional guidance and our ongoing assessment. In addition, investigators should prepare for further reductions in BIC services (research services normally provided by BIC staff, such as cell sorting, DNA synthesis and sequencing, EM prep, electrophysiology, histology specimen processing, etc.). Please consider this when planning your research and contact us regarding previously-established experiments that involve time sensitive samples.
Thank you for your cooperation as we comply with guidance for COVID-19.
If you have used Biomedical Instrumentation Center (BIC) services, we would appreciate your acknowledgement of BIC in any resulting manuscripts. If one of our scientists has substantially assisted in the design, execution, or interpretation of your data, it would be appropriate to discuss authorship.
