Programmatic Oversight

CNRM is an entity of USU, which is responsible, on behalf of the DoD, for the fiscal management as well as coordinating the establishment and operation of the CNRM.  As outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between USU and NIH, the CNRM Director reports to the USU Vice President for Research and coordinates CNRM leadership with a NIH Co-Director.  The CNRM has a Programmatic Oversight Committee appointed by the signatories of the MOU, the USU President and NIH Director.  CNRM uses contracts and cooperative agreements administered by the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) to implement research activities at each site.

The members currently appointed to the Programmatic Oversight Commitee (as of 10 October 2016) are:

Within the CNRM, each of the six research programs is led by a USU Program Leader and an NIH Co-Leader. The Program Leaders interact with the CNRM Directors to plan policies and procedures for research development and focus within the CNRM.  The six programs broadly represent the expertise of disciplines with high priority to the CNRM research mission.  This diverse leadership provides rigorous scientific input to foster the interdisciplinary research of the Center across basic, translational, and clinical studies.
