The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences charter class of 1980 graduated just 29 members. Although these pathfinders were the first to graduate from the nation's only federal health sciences university, they paved the way for thousands to follow. Today, nearly 6,000 health practitioners and scientists are USU alumni.

Commencement Information for Faculty

Free parking in the Department of the Interior’s Garage, on 18th Street, directly across the street from the main entrance to DAR Constitution Hall is provided for members of the faculty. The faculty processional forms in the C Street foyer at 09:45 a.m.; the processional begins promptly at 10:30 a.m.

Uniformed faculty members in the processional will wear their appropriate service dress uniform with ribbons: U.S. Army-Dress Blue with four-in-hand tie; U.S. Navy-Service Dress White; U.S. Air Force-Service Dress; and U.S. Public Health Service-Service Dress Blue. Civilian faculty wear academic regalia in the procession.
