<b><p>Fundamentals of Global Health Engagement, Virtual</p><p>June 22, 24, 26, 29 &amp; Jul 1st 2020&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;All sessions will be held from 1300-1500 EDST&nbsp;</p><p>Host Unit:&nbsp;&nbsp;Center for Global Health Engagement</p><p>Registration for the course has now closed.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>We are happy to announce that the Fundamentals of Global Health Engagement Course will now be offered virtually!</p><p>Registration&nbsp;</p><p>Once you have registered for the course, your seat will be confirmed.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Description&nbsp;</p><p>Students will receive the full FOGHE course content, activities and capstone. To access content students will be emailed a link to the learning management system, Schoology, 2 weeks prior to the start of the course.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>They will include&nbsp;5 two-hour live sessions presented over a two-week period. Homework includes viewing three lectures independently, completing a discussion board prompt about the lecture and completing assigned workbook pages, which will be due the day of the next session.&nbsp; Homework time (including viewing lecture) should total approximately 6 hours over the course. We understand that COVID-19 may impact students' ability to adhere to a strict course schedule. CGHE will work with course participants on an individual basis to ensure completion of all course materials.&nbsp;</p><p>Certificates of completion will be provided for students who complete all coursework and assignments.&nbsp;For any question, please contact&nbsp;<a href="mailto:cghe-egucation@usuhs.edu">cghe-egucation@usuhs.edu(link sends e-mail)</a></p><p>Course Objectives</p><p>Understand how DoD GHE supports national security strategies and regional security&nbsp; objectives.</p><ol><li><p>Identify the complex components of DoD GHE.</p></li><li><p>Recognize the elements of designing, planning, executing and evaluating DoD GHE.&nbsp;</p></li></ol><p><br>Target Audience&nbsp;</p><p>Participants who seek to understand or are expected to participate in DoD GHE activities. Participants can fall among the following groups:</p><ul><li><p>Military Health System and Public Health Service personnel&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>USG agency personnel&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>International military and civilian partners</p></li><li><p>Representatives of academic institutions</p></li><li><p>Health personnel from non-governmental organizations&nbsp;&nbsp;</p></li></ul></b>
