Upcoming Event: Violence & Humanitarian Health Responders in Complex Crises

Unintentional and deliberate violence directed at humanitarian actors is real and becoming all too common. The intersection that is evident between non-governmental humanitarian responders and militaries in complex crises, as well as the currency and pertinence of the topic, make this is a valuable conversation to bring to the USU community. This event is designed as a follow-up to the December 2016 Global Health Security Forum held at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) under the title: In the Crosshairs: The Surge of Violence against the Health Sector. The expert panel will include senior DoD and NGO representatives, presenting their perspectives and engaging the audience in dialogue.
