The Workforce Project
The Workforce Project is a comprehensive assessment of who encompasses the domestic natural disaster workforce.
By conducting key informant interviews and literature reviews, convening a conference of representatives from different levels of government and voluntary organizations, and executing a field study, the NCDMPH's workforce team was able to produce a report draft that outlines the structure of the nation's disaster health workforce.
On September 19-20, 2011, the NCDMPH convened a multi-disciplinary group of nationally recognized researchers and subject matter experts at its Natural Disaster Health Workforce National Conference. Conference participants reviewed, discussed and improved upon the draft report.
A final draft of the report, incorporating feedback gained at the conference is available here: Domestic Natural Disaster Health Workforce Report.
