Profile

Dr. Brad Isaacson is the Chief of Research & Operations for the Musculoskeletal Injury Rehabilitation Research for Operational Readiness (MIRROR) program and the Scientific Director for the Center for Rehabilitation Sciences Research (CRSR). He is a Principal Investigator with the Geneva Foundation.

Dr. Isaacson earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Widener University (Chester, PA) a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering from the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT), and a Master in Business Administration and Finance from Boston College (Chestnut Hill, MA). Dr. Isaacson holds Adjunct Associate Professor positions in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Uniformed Services University and in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Utah. Dr. Isaacson has 30+ peer-reviewed publications on topics that include: heterotopic ossification, bone biology, bioelectricity, rehabilitation, orthopedics, biomaterials and osseointegration. Dr. Isaacson's heterotopic ossification research has been funded by the Department of Defense and private donations and featured in various military press releases including the Congressional Directed Medical Research Programs' homepage and the Surgeon General’s Annual FY17 report for Prevention, Migration, Treatment of Blast Injuries.  

Dr. Isaacson has received numerous professional awards including a Pre-Doctoral Fellowship from the Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Dean's List Association Award, the Who's Who in America Award, the Richard K. and Maria A. Obyn Memorial Endowed Orthopedics Scholarship and the George L. and Barbara Denton Endowed Orthopedics Scholarship. Dr. Isaacson has been inducted into the Kappa Theta Epsilon Co-op Honors Society, Omicron Delta Kappa – National Leadership Honor Society and Tau Beta Pi - National Engineering Honor Society. Dr. Isaacson serves as a reviewer for 4 medical and science journals and holds 8 United States patents.
