USUHS class of 1983. Trained in ophthalmology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center with cornea fellowship at Harvard. Completed 30+ year career in Air Force, with many humanitarian deployments, mostly to Latin America, and assignments as contingency medical planner at HQ USAF and at HQ USAFE.

Current focus on evaluation of military medical humanitarian work. Also leading efforts to begin a masked, placebo-controlled trial of traditional Tibetan eye medication in Lhasa, Tibet.


Helping with International Health 1 and 2; co-directing Global Health Policy in spring term; co-directing Evaluation course in summer term.
