MAJ Wanda Michaels is an Assistant Professor and Director of Operations in the Department of Military and Emergency Medicine at the Uniformed Services University, Bethesda MD. She is a United States Army Medical Service Corps Officer with an Area of Concentration in Health Services Plans, Operations, Intelligence, Security, and Training, and Special Identifier Skills in Civil Defense and Force Management.  Additionally, she is the Lead USU Medical Practicums Plans and Operations Officer, and the Antietam Medical Staff Walk Course director. 

Prior to arriving at the USUHS, MAJ Michaels was assigned to the Joint Forces Headquarters - National Capital Region.  She served as the Medical Plans Officer for the Headquarters and the Joint Task Force - National Capital Region during Defense Support of Civil Authorities response, National Special Security Events and the 57th Presidential Inaugural Events, responsible for all aspects of planning and execution of Health Service Support and Consequence Management Response.

MAJ Michaels has deployed in support of Stabilization Force (SFOR)- Bosnia, Kosovo Force (KFOR) Kosovo, Joint Task Force Bravo (JTFB) Honduras, Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) Iraq and other operational deployment is support of DoD objectives.
