Commander, Medical Corps, US Navy
The Office of the Associate Dean for Recruitment and Admissions (ADM) is the gateway to military medicine for one-fifth of the future active component physicians. USU admits 171 students each year, while each of the respective services awards 250-275 health professions scholarships yearly. Among active duty physicians, one-quarter have received their degree from USU. ADM is comprised of two departments working together to achieve the mission. The Recruitment Department actively cultivates prospective students through active engagements at colleges and universities, via traditional and social media, and by leveraging networks and collaborating with partners, including the medical recruiting branches of each service. The Admissions Department manages applicants to the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine by being a welcoming physical presence on our home campus. Admissions counselors are also available to answer applicant questions by phone or email.
