Uniformed Services University

Faculty Development

The USU Faculty Development program supports the mission of the Uniformed Services University to educate, train and prepare uniformed services health professionals, officers, and leaders to directly support the Military Health System by providing education and training focused in the areas of teaching, academic leadership, and scholarship & research to health profession educators throughout the MHS.

Specifically, the program and its partners provide workshops and classes for credit in the USU Faculty Development Certificate Program for educators in the USU School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Postgraduate Dental College, and at over 20 Military Treatment Facilities across the country. The program also sponsors multi-day meetings to bring tri-service Graduate Medical Education leaders from across the country together to provide academic leadership training, and to build an academic leadership cadre to shape the future of Faculty Development in the Military Health System.
