Commander Edward (Ted) Benchoff has been a Navy Industrial Hygiene Officer since 05 September, 2001. His assignments have included Navy Environmental and Preventive Medicine Unit SIX (NEPMU6), USS NIMITZ (CVN 68), NEPMU5, Commander Naval Air Forces, Naval Safety Center, and Uniformed Services University.

Prior to joining the Navy, Commander Benchoff worked as an industrial hygienist at Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, CA, and as an EHS consultant at Environmental and Occupational Risk Management, Inc., in Sunnyvale, CA.

Commander Benchoff currently serves as Director and Assistant Professor in the Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences (OEHS) Division of the USU Department of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics.
