Maria Truskey is currently the Knowledge Management Specialist at USU's Center for Global Health Engagement. Ms. Truskey is an information professional with a successful background as a trainer, advocate, and consultant in information strategies, including access models, information-seeking behavior, and functional knowledge bases. Prior to working at CGHE, Ms. Truskey worked at Johns Hopkins University & Medicine as a Global Health Informationist where she delivered services and trainings across the research project management lifecycle, including systematic search strategies for guideline publications in infectious diseases and international health, best practices for information and knowledge management tools and processes, and education on publication models and researcher metrics. Ms. Truskey also worked at Stevenson University, Maryland, where she taught information searching skills and performed outreach for library services. In addition to serving academic and medical audiences, she has also worked in various capacities for public libraries and non-profit historical archives.
