Disasters & Health: State of Science Symposium

NCDMPH is pleased to invite you to register and attend our first Disasters and Health: State of Science symposium on April 25-26, 2019

This symposium will be a dynamic event convening the leading disaster experts from the fields of science, academia, government, finance and technology. The objective of the symposium is to identify the important issues enabling and constraining an evidence-based approach to disaster preparedness and response, with a particular focus on health.

The meeting will be held at the headquarters of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in Washington, DC, in their newly-renovated net-zero energy building.

Target Audience: Disaster scientists, disaster health practitioners, academics, Federal agencies, health organizations, non-profits, Civ-Mil groups, NGOs.

Disaster Health Education Symposium 2017

 On September 7, 2017 at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, The National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (NCDMPH)

Co-sponsored by USU, held the 2017 Disaster Health Education Symposium, Advancing the State of the Art.

    

This symposium provided a forum with a specific focus on education and training in disaster medicine and public health. This symposium will:

1) Highlighted promising approaches, science and practice for education and training in disaster medicine and public health

2) Presented a unique forum for collaboration and networking among disaster medicine and public health professionals

3) Explored the implications of the latest practice and research for disaster medicine and public health learning and performance and identifed key areas for future research
