Craig Goolsby, MD, promoted to rank of Professor

Craig Goolsby, MD, MEd, FACEP, Science Director at NCDMPH, has being promoted to the academic rank of Professor of Military & Emergency Medicine at USUHS.

A combat veteran, Dr. Goolsby has served two tours as an emergency physician in Iraq, prior to joining the faculty at USU.

Dr. Goolsby is also a national leader in military-to-civilian knowledge transfer efforts; particularly for the Stop the Bleed education program.

As a researcher he has authored many scientific papers and is a recipient of a $2 million TTW Grant to develop novel hemorrhage control technology. This research is being conducted in partnership with Harvard-Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Mayo Clinic, Linkoping University in Sweden, and InnoVital Systems.
