The Postgraduate Dental College (PDC) is charged to educate graduate dentists as future leaders in military operational environments, federal health systems and university settings. In a dynamic educational environment, the PDC prepares graduate dentists to provide care, teach and conduct research for the uniformed services and federal health care system during peace, disasters, war and other contingencies.
The partnership between the USU and Military Graduate Dental Education is a perfect example of joining organizational strengths to make exceptional programs even better. The military programs have a longstanding history of excellence in both advanced general dentistry and dental specialty training. The goal of these outstanding programs remains the same … train master clinicians to provide the highest quality dental care for the active duty population in support of readiness. The USU confers Master of Science in Oral Biology degrees on program graduates, giving a sound scientific basis to the curriculum and helping providers to embark upon a career of evidence-based clinical practice.
