The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP)

Infection Control CDE Options The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) CDC Guidelines "From Policy to Practice" The goal of the course is to prevent or reduce the risk of disease transmission among patients and dental healthcare professionals. It is organized into seven (7) modules and you can run the interactive program as many times as you like. To access this free online training program, go to: OSAP's Interactive Guide to the CDC Guidelines.

After completing the interactive program, you can earn 10 continuing education credits by purchasing a test for $100 through OSAP. The fee is processed instantly and the test is available almost immediately. The grading fee is nonrefundable. After purchasing the test qualifying you for ten (10) hours of Continuing Education Credit, you will receive a download explaining the next steps in taking the test.

OSAP is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

USAF Dental Evaluation & Consultation Service Continuing Education Program (DECS)

The Air Force has moved their online CDE to the Swank Healthcare website at www.swankhealth.com. Your ability to access Swank healthcare will vary from service to service. Your Medical Education and Training Department should be able to provide direction.

Navy dental providers are eligible to participate in IHS CDE program by sending an email to marybeth.kinney@comcast.net to register for Continuing Dental Education (CDE) online courses. The Indian Health Service Clinical Support Center has been resurveyed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and awarded accreditation with commendation for six years as a provider of continuing medical education.
