Biography
Prior to his retirement from active military service, he served as the Chief of the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the National Naval Medical Center and the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, which also included the Amputee and Traumatic Brain Injury Services. He has served as the PM&R specialty consultant to the Army Surgeon General; Senior Officer in Charge of the Ortiz Level II Military Treatment Facility, International Zone, Baghdad, Iraq; and a Secretarial appointee for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Advisory Committee on Prosthetics and Special Disabilities Programs. He continues to serve as a consultant to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), U.S. Army’s Medical Research and Material Command (MRMC), Food & Drug Agency (FDA), and as a member of the Board of Visitors for the Volgenau School of Engineering, Department of Bioengineering, George Mason University and University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
Dr. Pasquina has received multiple military awards, as well as awards for teaching and mentorship, including the U.S. Army’s “A” Proficiency Designation for academic excellence, the Order of Military Medical Merit, the Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clusters, da Vinci Lifetime Achievement Award, Partners in Progress Heroes of Military Medicine Award, Lewis Aspey Mologne Award, Alfred Mann Foundation Scientist of Year Award, Distinguished Clinician Award from the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Chapel of the Four Chaplains Legion of Honor Bronze Medallion Bronze, and Honorary Fellow of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA).
He has authored multiple book chapters, journal articles and policy papers. His work as the co-editor of the Textbook of Military Medicine: Care of the Combat Amputee, was recognized with the First Place award for Technical Text from the Washington Book Publishers Association in 2010. Biography
Dr. Gbade-Alabi was a recipient of the United States Army Health Professions Scholarship upon her acceptance into medical school. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Gbade-Alabi's awards include being a nominee and Finalist for the Paul Florentino Patient-And-Family-Centered Care Award in the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center 9th Annual National Capital Region Research Competition in 2017. Additionally, she received the Outstanding Performance Award and the Joint Service Commendation Award upon graduation from PM&R Residency.
MAJ Gbade-Alabi's Army medicine career has included serving as the Medical Director of the Traumatic Brain Injury Intensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Program Army Intrepid Spirit III and the Department Chief of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell, KY from July 2017 until February 2019. Prior to that Dr. Gbade-Alabi was the Service Chief of Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Walter Reed from August 2015 until June 2017.

Biography
He is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, MI. He completed his internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C. followed by Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, PA where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Susmarski’s awards include being honored with Gannon University’s Distinguished Young Alumnus Award in 2016, as well as, being named one of the Top Physicians Under 40 in Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania Medical Society in 2017. He was additionally recognized during his PM&R residency with the Rising Star award for most outstanding junior resident, Administrative excellence award for his UPMC system wide amputee medical care initiatives, and Overall Excellence in Residency at graduation.
LCDR Susmarski was a recipient of the United States Navy Health Professional Scholarship upon his acceptance into medical school. His Naval medicine career has included deployments to Afghanistan, Kuwait, Africa, and Europe. He has been decorated with multiple individual and unit recognitions including but not limited to Navy/Marine Corps Commendation and Achievement Medals, Navy Unit Commendation, Army Meritorious Unit Commendation, Battle “E”, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal with Bronze Star, Seabee Combat Warfare Device, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Junior Officer of the Year, and US Navy Green “H” award. He was honored by being deep selected, below zone for promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) in the fall of 2014.
Throughout his twelve year career in medicine Dr. Susmarski has spent a significant amount of time working in the field of Sports/Musculoskeletal Medicine and has provided care to a wide range of athletes in a variety of sports encompassing athletes from high school, college, professional, military, Olympic, Paralympic, and Special Olympics levels of competition.
LCDR Susmarski’s academic pursuits include work on multiple book chapters, peer reviewed manuscripts, grants, and presentations including award winning research at national and international medical conferences. He additionally has served on multiple regional and national committees, as a peer reviewer of several prominent medical journals, and as a member of numerous professional organizations. He is also very active in his local community and completes an average of 100 volunteer hours yearly over the course of the past fifteen years.
Dr. Susmarski was born in Erie, PA and is a proud graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School. He graduated summa cum laude and was awarded the Archbishop John Mark Gannon award upon graduation from Gannon University.

Dr. Brad Isaacson is the Chief of Research & Operations for the Musculoskeletal Injury Rehabilitation Research for Operational Readiness (MIRROR) program and the Scientific Director for the Center for Rehabilitation Sciences Research (CRSR). He is a Principal Investigator with the Geneva Foundation.
Dr. Isaacson earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Widener University (Chester, PA) a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering from the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT), and a Master in Business Administration and Finance from Boston College (Chestnut Hill, MA). Dr. Isaacson holds Adjunct Associate Professor positions in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Uniformed Services University and in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Utah. Dr. Isaacson has 30+ peer-reviewed publications on topics that include: heterotopic ossification, bone biology, bioelectricity, rehabilitation, orthopedics, biomaterials and osseointegration. Dr. Isaacson's heterotopic ossification research has been funded by the Department of Defense and private donations and featured in various military press releases including the Congressional Directed Medical Research Programs' homepage and the Surgeon General’s Annual FY17 report for Prevention, Migration, Treatment of Blast Injuries.
Dr. Isaacson has received numerous professional awards including a Pre-Doctoral Fellowship from the Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Dean's List Association Award, the Who's Who in America Award, the Richard K. and Maria A. Obyn Memorial Endowed Orthopedics Scholarship and the George L. and Barbara Denton Endowed Orthopedics Scholarship. Dr. Isaacson has been inducted into the Kappa Theta Epsilon Co-op Honors Society, Omicron Delta Kappa – National Leadership Honor Society and Tau Beta Pi - National Engineering Honor Society. Jack Tsao, MD, DPhil, CAPT, MC, USN Jack Tsao, MD, DPhil, CAPT, MC, USN is a United States Navy neurologist and the Director of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Programs for the US Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Professor of Neurology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Tsao received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Harvard, a master's degree from the University of Cambridge, England, and doctorate from the University of Oxford, England. He completed neurology residency at the University of California-San Francisco and was then stationed at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, where he was neurology department head. While there, Dr. Tsao completed a behavioral neurology fellowship at the University of Florida.
Dr. Tsao is actively involved in developing and managing Navy and Marine Corps TBI policy and programs, including methods for detecting and preventing TBI in service members and telemedicine programs for neurological and TBI patient care. His clinical research is focused on treatments for phantom limb pain in amputees, for which he was recently awarded the 2014 United States Navy Hero of Military Medicine by the Center for Public-Private Partnerships at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. He is also past chairman of both the Government Services Section and the Practice Committee Telemedicine Work Group of the American Academy of Neurology.

Dr. Erik J. Wolf is currently the Senior Research Biomedical Engineer for the DoD/VA Extremity Trauma and Amputation Center of Excellence (EACE). He is also the Director of the Center for Performance and Clinical Research (CPCR) in the Department of Rehabilitation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing clinical and research activities within the Biomechanics Laboratory and the Virtual Environment Laboratory. Dr. Wolf also serves as the Chair for the Orthopaedics, Rehabilitation, and Pain Scientific Review Committee. Dr. Wolf earned his BS, MS, and PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Engineering in Bioengineering.
The work done by the CPCR is focused directly on the rehabilitation and functional recovery of injured Service Members with limb trauma. Understanding the adaptations of Service Members with traumatic lower extremity amputations will reduce the potential for overuse injury and improve functional outcomes.
