BiographyMark Farinas is a native Washingtonian whose initial career was in education in the arts. He became interested in his current field when a colleague who was an occupational therapist suggested that his background would be an ideal complement to the profession of OT. Mark began his career as a pediatric occupational therapist in 2001 as part of Developmental Pediatrics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in the District of Columbia. He remained with the institution when it transitioned to Bethesda Naval Medical Center where it is known by its current name. During his career, he has also held positions with HSC Pediatric Center, Montgomery County Public Schools, Rehabilitation Services Incorporated, Holy Cross Rehabilitation Center, and Barbara Bassin and Associates. He feels honored to be a member of the USUHS faculty and the Pediatric/Occupational Therapy team of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
