Abstract

The purpose of this project is to evaluate two readily available, safety-profiled agents—curcumin and epigallocatechin-gallate (EGCG) (FDA generally recognized as safe [GRAS] status)—as prophylactic and post-exposure countermeasures for occupational radiation. This project aims to provide a rapid, cost-effective pathway to an evidence-based solution to empower frontline providers with a preventive tool, reducing long-term morbidity, enhancing force health protection, and  preserving the readiness of high-value military personnel.
