Biography

Supported the USNH-Naples, Italy from 1990-1992; served as a Clinical Associate in the Laboratory of Central Nervous System Studies (LCNSS), NINDS, NIH under Drs. Carleton Gajdusek and C. J. Gibbs, studying biomarkers and the pathophysiology of human and zoonotic prion disorders from 1993-1997; continued prion disease work as a Medical Officer 200-2002; worked as a clinical researcher in the Comprehensive Neuroscience Program (CNP) in the Department of Neurology, USUHS, under Dr. Bill Campbell 2006-2011 studying militarily relevant neurological disorders with a focus on biomarkers of musculoskeletal disorders ( e.g. exertional rhabdomyolysis), Collaborated with Dr. Ramon Diaz-Arrastia in the Department of Neurology, USUHS, studying military/veteran traumatic brain injury (TBI) 2011-2016; worked at NICoE, WRNMMC continuing clinical research of TBI 2016-2023; supporting TBI studies and grants through the Dept of Neurology, USUHS, 2023-present.
