Biography

Lt Colonel David Bradley is an Associate Professor/Deputy Director for the Adult Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Program for the Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, MD.

Lt Col Bradley first started off enlisted in 1996 as an Army combat medic. He was selected for the Green to Gold scholarship and commissioned in the U.S. Army in 2003, and attended the Army Perioperative Nurse Course in 2005. In 2008, Lt Col Bradley transitioned into the Air Force as a perioperative nurse. In 2009, Lt Col Bradley received his Perioperative Nurse certification, and has eighteen years of military nursing experience which includes case management, medical-surgical nursing, and perioperative nursing. In 2015, Lt Col Bradley earned his Master of Science degree in Nursing from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and his Doctor in Nursing Practice in 2020 from the University of Alabama. Lt Col Bradley is a board certified CNS as well as a certified perioperative nurse. Prior to his current assignment, Lt Col Bradley served as the Perioperative CNS, as part of the Center for Nursing Science & Clinical Inquiry (CNSCI), who led clinical practice for four departments, involving 357 staff, for the largest military treatment facility and only Level 1 Trauma Center for the Department of Defense.

His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2), Air Force Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3), Combat Action Badge and Expert Field Medical Badge.
