Biography

Dr Ernest Lockrow, DO, is currently the Department Vice Chair and Vice Chair of Education for OBGYN at the Uniformed Services University. He is also currently the Program Director for the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) Fellowship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). He has been a pioneer in the military for minimally invasive gynecologic laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He is a cited expert in gynecologic robotic surgery and an invited speaker nationally and internationally on a range of topics. He is a Full Professor at the Uniformed Services University and a fellow of both the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG). His most notable prior position was as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Walter Reed and the National Naval Medical Center during the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) of 2005. Dr. Lockrow has an interest in minimally invasive surgery, simulation as well as advances in robotic surgery.
