BiographyDr. Heather Johnson is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has dedicated her professional career to helping veterans and families navigate the complex healthcare and education systems. She is an invited speaker and author on topics surrounding access and interdisciplinary care for veterans, military families and exceptional children. She is a member of the Parenting Collaborative for the National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine and has been an invited speaker for the NASEM Collaborative on Cognitive and Behavioral Health of Children. She maintains an active clinical practice at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Cabrera Family Health Center. Dr. Johnson is the Director & Chair of the Family & Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Programs at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing.
