BiographyColonel Scott is a pediatric cardiologist and board certified clinical informatics specialist with 27 years of experience in military medicine. His positions have included leadership roles in direct care pediatrics and pediatric cardiology, quality management, and information management. From January 2012 until July 2017 he was the Program Director for Clinical Informatics Policy in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs.
In July of 2017 he began serving as Data Manager in the Defense Health Agency where he will lead a clinical analytics division in the newly established Plans and Strategy Directorate. The division's goal will be to enable the military health system to become a data driven high reliability organization.
