Joseph May, MD, MPH, FAAP, FACC is a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Science (Public Health) from the Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and his medical degree from Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Stanford University Medical Center. He currently serves as Department Chief of Pediatrics at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and previously served as the Army Assistant Chief of Graduate Medical Education & Graduate Dental Education at Walter Reed. He has served in prior operational assignments in Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
