Biography

Dr. Kayla Dahlquist is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the chief resident of the Pediatrics program at the National Capital Consortium, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. As a clinician-educator, Dr. Dahlquist supervises and mentors medical students and pediatric residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her scholarly interests include pediatric primary care quality improvement, medical education, and resident and student engagement in learning. An active duty Captain in the U.S. Army, Dr. Dahlquist is committed to caring for military children and families and advancing pediatric education within the Military Health System. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Association of Pediatric Program Directors, and has received recognition for excellence in resident clinical teaching and quality improvement.
