Dr. Childers attended undergraduate at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis for a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, with minors in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Spanish. She subsequently enrolled at Indiana University School of Medicine in the class of 2014. From there, she came to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for medical residency in Pediatrics. After graduating in June of 2017, Dr. Childers stayed on as the Pediatric Chief Resident for the 2017-2018 academic year. Currently, Dr. Childers works as a pediatrician in the General Pediatrics Primary Care Clinic, General Pediatrics Inpatient Ward, and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, in addition to fulfilling her responsibilities of chief resident.
