Biography

I am a very energetic person, always willing to give a hand. I came into the military as a direct ascension in February 2014 after completing an Internal Medicine - Pediatrics residency with Case Western Reserve Metrohealth Medical Center and working as an MD consultant to the Metrohealth Simulation Center between residency and coming to active duty. During my short time as a Soldier, I have served many different roles. I have been a primary care pediatrician, a pediatric hospitalist and embedded during doing both of these roles I provided specialty care to the Internal Medicine clinic. After a year of service I deployed first to Germany for 90 days to provide medical support to the Defense Personal Accounting Agency looking for remains of SM who died in WWII. Directly after that I deployed for a 9 month tour to serve as the battalion surgeon for the 3-61 CAV, 2IBCT out of Fort Carson serving as the head of the Role I station at New Kabul Compound. Upon my return from that deployment and completing the Captains Career Course, I resumed working in the pediatrics department and the ER urgent care clinic to provide urgent care support to both departments while taking over the GME activities for the pediatrics department clinical rotators. Since April of this year I have been serving as the brigade surgeon for 3rd ABCT, 1CD while continuing the GME activities. Teaching is my passion and I love to share medicine with students and residents alike.
