WHAT WE DO

Our alumni are a unique group -- bound together by a commitment to care for our nation’s service members, retirees, and their families. The relationships formed at USU carry over into graduates’ careers, whether they are at medical treatment facilities, scientific laboratories, on the front lines of battle, participating in humanitarian missions in South America or the Pacific, responding in the aftermath of a disaster or terror attack, or walking in space. The bonds they forge keep them connected and engaged with the University, and will last a lifetime.

There were 29 graduates in the charter medical school class of 1980. Since then, we have added graduate programs and the Enlisted to Medical Degree Preparatory Program to our medical school, along with the Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing, Postgraduate Dental College, and the College of Allied Health Sciences. As we approach 50 years, the University now boasts more than 10,000 alumni worldwide.
